Hey all,

I'm shooting a lecture video for an organization and they are asking about any standard disclaimer I'll use to start the DVD like they see on other DVDs. Is there anywhere I can go to view some standard ones that might be applicable to my product?

I'm new to this site so sorry if this is not what you talk about or if I put it into the wrong section but I have seen a lot of tv and youtube videos where people insert others videos into theirs. I'd like to know how to do this legally.

I'm making a documentary that is intended for festivals and some type of distribution (even self-distribution). Do I need to form a production company, such as an LLC, to protect my assets? Or, is this only necessary if I anticipate making money from my film? What is the standard legal practice?

I've been doing video production gigs here and there, working as a sole proprietor under just my name, and I've been thinking of forming a single-member LLC instead, so that I can take out business loans, have limited liability, etc.

I also produce music (which I'd like to publish online soon), do audiovisual work for events, and design graphics for T-shirts and other items, all as a sole proprietor under my own name.

Is it possible or advisable to form a single LLC that would include all of these services?

Anyone doing disposition video's? What is the least expensive equipment to get started? I enjoyed the article in June's Videomaker print mag. Also, is certification worth the money? Thanks.

I attend a few outdoor public events that run thru out the summer out on the water. They tend to get a little wild (in a good way) and I always have the videocamerasand other still cameras rolling when the beads start flying later in the afternoon(actually it is pretty easy to getvolunteersfor the film crew at these events).

Upuntilnow I cut the footage together with some party music and weusuallyget together in around this time of year for the "movie premiere" akaexcuse to drink beer look at bikinis and dream about the warm weather.

I shot a seminar where the speaker imatated a quote for 3-4 seconds - "I was very angry", from the Bugs Bunny character Marvin The Martion. He brought my attention to this asking if it was legal to include in the video. Can I get some feedback about this from you folks?

Ive read so much about whats legal and whats not that youd think I would be an expert in this but for some reason I still manage to come up with questions. Not so much about what to do but why? How does that ruling make sense when this is true?
