Panasonic has announced the new AG-AC90, its new, professional handheld camcorder. This camcorder is fitted with three 1/4.7" CMOS (aka 3MOS) sensors. While independent filmmakers will be unlikely to purchase this camera, given the bevy of full frame options currently available as DSLRs, professional videographers who require functionality over shallow depth of field should keep an eye on the AG-AC90 digital video camcorder. With the AG-AC90, Pansonic offers us up to 60fps in 1080p of AVCHD video. Footage will be up to 28 Mbps and will record to dual SD slots. The Ag-AC90 includes two XLR inputs for professional microphone use, plus HDMI out, USB 2.0 (mini), RCA audio out, and the standard Multi-AV out. It's planned release is late fall 2012 with a suggested list price of $2,250. For more on the Panasonic AG-AC90 professional camcorder, see the press release below.
