OTHER NOTES:
FROM AP STYLEBOOK: Q. Is it “1 in 3 people” or “one in three people”? Similar questions to Ask the Editor have been answered as “one in three people,” but the “Punctuation and Usage Examples” in the “numerals” entry of the stylebook has the example “1 in 4 voters.”
A. Within a sentence, use numerals to express ratios.

OLD TERMS VERSUS CURRENT(as of 2012):
OLD: Filming
OLD: Video-taping
OLD: taping
NEW: Recording, shooting, capturing (in other words, we aren’t using film or video tape anymore)

OLD: NLE
OLD: Nonlinear editing
NEW: Editing (unless you’re comparing the old tape-to-tape editing style with digital non-linear editing style, don’t use the NLE word/phrase)

OLD: HDSLR
NEW: DSLR (Stands for Hybrid-Definition-Single-Lens-Reflex camera). Meaning it shoots video and stills. But now almost ALL of them shoot video and stills, so we’re dropping the “H”.
