Storyboards are a great tool for visualizing how each scene of your script will play out. The best part is, you don't have to be a storyboard artist to create one. Storyboard software allows you to build your visuals without having to lift a pencil. Learning how to storyboard with or without software, will help ensure that your productions run smoothly.

No doubt your mind swirls with little pictures, pictures that represent your ideas.
Capture these "idea pictures" on videotape, and everybody can enjoy them.
But between your first idea-picture and your final cut there's a lot to do-and a lot of it involves people other than yourself.
You must communicate your great ideas to these people, be they clients or camera operators, clearly enough so they see the same pictures you do.
How can you be so sure you're all on the same wavelength?

Making video is art. And creating a storyboard is an artistic endeavor all its own. The purest form of storyboards, cormics, are characterized by minimal text and high impact images and have been turned into profitable, high-style movies like Batman, Rocketeer and Dick Tracy.
