International public health organization, Global Dialogues, has issued a call for entries for their latest video challenge. The theme this year is Love, Freedom … Pregnancy?
Each year, Global Dialogues challenges filmmakers of any walk of life, discipline or skill level to participate in a challenge where they kick off a story and it is up to participating filmmakers to complete the story with their own vision in two minutes or less.
Video Contests are Great Ways to Have Fun, Earn Prizes and Get your Muse On! The video contest, "Driven Creativity", is sponsored by G-Technology and offers amateur and pro video producers a chance to win in such categories as Animation, Music, Photography, Short Film and GoPro Active.
We're happy to announce the winner of the Blackmagic Digital Cinema Camera sweepstakes. Congratulations to Laura Harvey! Laura Harvey is a deaf filmmaker and producer. She is currently working on a documentary about a deaf woman with multiple sclerosis and a dream to reach the highest points in all 50 states of the USA.
The Blackmagic Cinema Camera features a 2.5K image sensor with a wide 13 stops of dynamic range for a true digital film camera. It comes with a built-in SSD recorder, open standard uncompressed RAW and compressed file formats, compatibility with quality EF or Passive Micro Four Thirds lenses, LCD touchscreen monitoring and metadata entry. We're happy to announce the winner of the GoPro Hero 3 camera Black edition contest. Congratulations to Michele and Anthony Holzwarth! Anthony is an independent filmmaker and multimedia developer. He does all forms of multimedia but he really loves Film, Animation/ VFX. His company is Z23 Studios, located in Pittsburgh, PA. His work can be seen on YouTube and Vimeo. Michele works with him as his assistant on films, videos, weddings and such.
For the last challenge, we had you improve the color of your shots using traditional color correction techniques like curves, levels, and hue/saturation. For challenge 7, we're turning our attention to sound effects.
