how can I see the private messages I sent in the past? Since the upgrade to this new system I can't find the prviate message or my old post.

I cannot find out the answer
I cannot find out the answer either. Sorry, was browzing around, using serendipity to guide me, and came across this while I was trying to do the same thing ... four months later ;-(
There were only two or three
There were only two or three private messages per month on the old version of the site (not including SPAM.) As a result we did not migrate the private messages during the move to Drupal. However, we still have the data archived away in a database.
If a number of people let us know that the archived messages are important, we can work on migrating the older messages. Or if there are any cases of "I have to get that message", I can copy/paste them from the database and email them to the person.
