What kind of release is appropriate for obtaining permission to use portions of a YouTube video in a production? I need a few seconds of footage of a woodpecker attacking a power utility pole, and I found several usable clips on YouTube. I have contacted the owners and they are happy to let me use their footage for the intended purpose (training utility workers).  The forms I've found so far have to do with talent releases, but the woodpecker is not the one I need the release from.

I'm sure the woodpecker would disagree!

You probably want something more like this...http://www.ehow.com/how_5125783_write-photo-copyright-release-form.html
