XL2 Audio issues

    Has anyone had problems with the AUDIO from the XL2 when using Pinnacle Studio 12, when the audio is only recorded on tracks 3-4 (rear mic connections?  When trying to download the audio into Pinnacle via firewire, the video comes over fine, but the audio is dead.  Have tried alternate audio monitor settings on the camera, and still nothing..  I know the audio is on the tape as I can hear it via headphones on the camera.  Have checked all the Pinnacle preference settings and everything is set to record and monitor audio
