I have a script I'm working on right now. I'm wanting to get it to the theatres, advertise nationally & internationally.

What software do I need to get the finished product from a video file to 35mm? What kind of machine does this?

I also need to know all the steps neccessary for completing this process. Does anyone know a book, website, or resource I could go to? Thanks!

Well, first you start with 20 million dollars...

It would be a lot easier trying to sell your script to a studio. It would be buried under thousands of other scripts before you get a polite "no thank you" card.

Unless you had twenty million dollars. That's true.

If your Canadian, you can apply for a grant. It falls under the arts and media council. But it is really hard to get. You have to propose a case that you have a worthy media subject and that you just need some help. They are more then willing to help out the video industry considering no on stays in Canada any more to do movies, everyone knows that you go to Hollywood for it. So this council was made to support movie and art in Canada to maybe start a movie industry here.
