I'm relatively new to video editing and need to find a few sources for high-quality stock footage that isn't overly expensive. Something similar to FootageFirm.com, which offers 60-minute reels for $50, but they carry mostly only footage of major cities. I'm looking for something more nature related.

Also, where can I find a list of upcoming DV conferences around the country?

    Thanks!

I'd suggest you type "royalty free stock footage" into the Google search engine when you have some free time. I just did and got ten pages for starters.
