Video particle effects software

   Hello,

    

   I'm starting to play more and more with making small videos.  I have a canon hv20.

    

   I'm wanting to make an intro clip that's rendered.  I'm trying to find software that will allow me to easily render things like this: http://www.youtube.com/tmrctv#p/u/29/1-qg9fRn19E

    

   Can someone please give me a few recommendations?  Thank you.

   If you are talking about the opening credits, that would be Adobe's After Effects.
