Yesterday I went to use my laptop hard for about an hour, and the thing got so hot it started to stutter, and miss keystroke commands.  I checked the fans with the diagnostics, and everything seems fine.  I keep the thing on a laptop pad (always on), but the thing just gets hot.

I would like to do some video editing on the laptop as well as the desktop (for when I travel), but if it gets so hot, I do not think I will be able to do so.  Is it possible to ventilate a Dell Inspiron E1720 case so I do not burn up the hardware?
