Using HDD in tower duplicator

   I've just purchased a tower duplicator and controller by Copysmart.  The machine functions well from DVD to four DVD burners but I want to use a HDD.  Does anyone know how to make better sense of the instructions regarding use of the HDD that have the feeling that they were translated by babelfish.   I need someone to take me through partitioning and use very slowly.
