Would you like to see more information displayed in topics about the user (total post counts, etc.)? Would this be helpful?

      For Example:

      User: John Doe

Title: Novice (title could be based on post count)

      Registered: Nov 2006

      Location: Chico, Ca

*Add other information you would like to see included as well.

Probably not all that relevant, it isn't too difficult to tell who posts the most. I think your "top ten" posters of the month is good enough.

I like having the ability to click on the user's profile from the forum post.  I note now when I click on a user name, it takes me to that user's web page but I see that clicking on his or her picture takes me to his or her profile.  Good enough for me.  No need to have the information reproduced right there, though.

clicking on their picture takes you to their profile (im assuming you mean their Videomaker profile?)

robgrauert, yep, you're right---you posted that just as I was editing my post to cover up the fact that I didn't know that.  But you're right--I have access to that profile right there.  Good enough for me!

What about custom titles based upon post counts?

Custom titles? Like "minimalist" "overdrive" "top dog" "expert" "verbose" "Post God"? Nahhhhhh. :-)

The only time the post count matters to me is when someone is touting something.  I am more likely to take it serious from some one who has been around the forums awhile.  As opposed to the spammer who creates an account the then places a post about the best software that every videomaker needs.

Honestly, if it makes the user experience that much more enjoyable - we'll do it. No comment or suggestion is left unread.
