I just bought a Sony DCR-TRV2 and I've been searching for a software suite that will let me capture or upload my DV footage onto my PC as DV. I have seen several pieces of software that capture in MPEG-2, but i dont want to lose any quality. I know its going to take much more space but thats alright.

Please help me out if any of you have any suggestions.

    Thank You very much.

Provided you have a firewire port on your PC and sufficiently fast drives your choices are endless. From MovieMaker 2 to Premiere/Avid Express/Vegas Video etc. Many have trial versions that will allow you to get the hang of it. You can easily and cheaply add a PCI firewire card if you don't have one, but make sure your PC specs are up to working with DV. If your machine is relatively new that shouldn't be a problem.
