that gradient thing

   I have seen a lot of short videos with some oval gradient frame. thought it could be done in after effects, but I just can't figure out how.

   here's a small a small example of what I am thinking of:

    there are many vihnette filters and plugins but I like to create em custom to the shot. I duplicate the layer, darken and and add saturation and contrast, blur to my liking then mask according to the shot. Once you feather the edge of the mask it looks great.
