Surround Sound Rendering

   I've completed a project with surround sound. However I'm not sure the best way to render. I ended up rendering the audio separately as an ac3 file and then the video as an mp2 DVD Architect file. The DVD Architect 4.5 hooked them together with no problems. the audio was great. But is this the norm? Or is there an alternate method? Thanks in advance.
