Studio 10.8 when i add pictures to storyboard they go to end of timeline

   i am creating a slide show....i have a menu (with sound) and i have added the music for the slide show..now when i add pictures (storyboard view) and transitions they look like they are in right place but when i go to the timeline view the pics and transitions are all at the end of the slide show (they start where the music ends)...i have to copy them and paste them to the front of the timeline...CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHAT THE HECK I AM DOING WRONG?? thanks for all replys!!
