How do I stop a still picture shimmering when used as a background for a Chroma Key video?

    Program is Pinnacle Studio 14

    Would appreciate any advice.

Moire can be reduced by adding blurs, reducing interlace flicker in AE, and by changing the scale so the lines that are flickering don't dance so.

     Hey thanks for the help.  Another more general question is;

Backing up files.  I would like to be able to get files off my computer but be able to get them back and edit / complete projects them down the track.  What is the best way to do this?

by throwin em on a firewire drive before you delete them.

Better yet, joust start them on a drive all their own and throw it on a  shelve.

    Hi to All,

     My point of view:

Studio 14 has a very complex structure it is not only a single software but several software packages or plugins and programmers like to complicate a system.

    My solution:

    1) Create a directory on C: as example Jan25PaulHoliday

Place in this directory all captured video file like AVI, MPG

Place in this directory all photos, text (all you need in your project)

Use the Studio 14 structure as usual:

    Work file: STX extension

    Menu file: DTL extension

    Title file: DTL extension

These files are located on your hard drive like this:

    C:\Documents and Settings\Your user name\My Documents\Pinnacle Studio\My Projects\jan25_2011_structure.stx"
    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Pinnacle\Content\Menus\My Menus
    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Pinnacle\Content\Titles\My Titles

To backup your project use a DVD or a USB plug and copy at least the files you create. If an expert or somebody from Pinnacle staff has a solution to send it to us you are welcomed.

    YR

Boy have I got a lot to learn!  Thanks so much for your help.  I am currently trying to save a 20 minute video to DVD but for some reason just one section of audio (on cam voice) is not saving to the DVD. It plays fine in the editing suite and has saved ok to 'Windows Media' but I wanted good quality DVD.

Any idea's on how I can get this audio to save and play on DVD would be appreciated.

    Regards,

    LH

     Hi,

If you use Pinnacle Studio 14 try to Make Movie using the option Create Disk Content but Don't burn this is the first step.

Go to the folder created and check it before to go to the second step

The second step Make Movie but use the option Burn from the created previously Disk Content.

    Regards,

    YR
