Hey, I'm in the same boat with the Adobe Premier Pro learning curve. You might consider totaltraining.com -- the price is steep: $180 for a DVD set. ($249 if you want the new Adobe 1.5 edition.) I found the instruction to be excellent. Another thing I did was to contact a local pro video production studio. ...Just walked in the door and asked if any of their editors specialize in Adobe Premiere, and would any of them tutor me for a few evenings on my machine at an hourly rate. -- They were SO nice and willing to help. Both options are cheaper than community college.

I found classroom in a book very helpful. The price is easier to swallow too. i think it was around $40. or $60.
    Good Luck.

The Adobe Premiere Pro Bible is immensely useful. Basically you read the first few chapters to get started then use it as a reference whenever you want to do something but dont know how.

Amazon.com is best since book stores really do sell this one for $49.99

I teach editing at a community college and we only charge $ 90.00 per course. Total Training while an excelent training video it is still only a video and you cant ask it questions. Community college is an exelent choice for learning premiere.
