Sony VX2000 for sale, perfect condition, 16 hrs use

Hey,

I have a Sony VX2000 for sale, perfect condition, purchased last July and filmed two taekwondo tournaments to DVD with it, not using anymore and already have a smaller DVcam for personal use, comes w/ extra battery, carrying case....

asking $2000 obo incl. shipping anywhere, no scratches or marks on the unit at all...

Trying to get rid of ASAP, in financial hell right now and need to get money to attend my taekwondo nationals at end of May...

Are you sure you mean a VX2000 and not VX2100? The VX2000 was made in 1995 and the electronics are due to start going dead. Camcorder electronics can be unreliable after seven years or so. The VX2100 can be purchased new for around 2200, sometimes less and has recently been selling for around 17-1850 used.

Actually, I think the VX2000 came out in either 2000 or 2001, since I remember us getting one in for review shortly after I started working for Videomaker. When I was still in college (I graduated in 2000), they had a few VX1000s available for student use.

That just goes to show that you can't believe everything you read on the Net. It does appear that the actual release date may have been May 01, 2000. Sorry 'bout that. But there's a post elsewhere here from a fellow who just bought a used 2100 for $16XX, so it would still seem that a 2000 should sell for considerabl less.
