Sony VX2000, error message, "Cleaner tape", or &qu

   " with a yellow X on it...
   
   has anyone had this before and what does it mean?
   
   I've been using this camera for about 4 years and have never seen it...
   
   also, what is the general lifespan of this particular camera? what are the first things to go out on the VX2000?
   
   The tape I used directly after the error message has majot audio drop out problems, but, tapes used after the message record and layback just fine....I can't make any sense of the situation...

   have you run a head cleaning tape through the camera? The manual seems to indicate that you need to clean the heads on the camera to ensure quality recording and playback.
