Sony CCD-TRV138 Hi8 quality?

    Hello, I have a Sony CCD-TRV138 using Hi8 tapes...

   I wass wondering if there's any quality difference in the tapes, video wise??

   I wouldn't worry about it too much when it comes to analog Hi8...I've never noticed too much of a difference to really care.  However, I would still go with the best Hi8 tape I could find (not digital Hi8 btw)

   A good tape that it stored properly will increase the life of the highly degradable analog signal for Hi8.
