I am working on a wedding project where the photographer is going to give me stills to add to the video. He is asking what DPI or size do I want them in.

I told him "Good question." Anyone have any answers? :)

    I use Final Cut Express.

Resolution: 720x480 for NTSC / 720x576 for PAL
DPI: 72 dpi will suffice. The more, the better.

Tell him 300dpi - you can really see the difference, and it does show on NTSC - though the previous answer is correct, 72dpi will "suffice".

I second the 300dpi. I was having a problem with my stills "flickering". Two steps fixed the problem 1) sizing to 720x480 (NTSC) and 2) increasing dpi from 72 to 300. It made a HUGE difference!
