Shotguns for under $200...

   Recommendations for a shotgun microphone for under $200.00 and "Hopefully" not much more than $100.00?

   I'm not an audiophile and Jay Rose has nothing to worry about from me, but I like my Azden SGM-X a lot. It picks up cleanly and over considerable distance, allowing me to boost the gain in dialogue captured from say ten feet away (in a reasonably quiet environment) and have it clearly audible without boosting noise too. I'm sure its specs don't hold up against the more expensive mics we all see endorsed when the "what's the best..." questions are posted, but it does the job for me, for just about $100USD.
