If you check out info on wedding videography, I think you'll find that the general concensus (by those who know) is that you need at least two cameras. The FX1 has the Lux rating (3), and that's extremely important for weddings, but it doesn't have the best specs and it doesn't do 24p, which is important for non-event work.
The thing about events and weddings is that you need one camera to be able to jump around getting the best close-ups, etc. but you also need continuity. That's why you'll have at least one cam shooting a bit wide and steady, so the other can roam a bit. If you need to buy two cameras, price may become a consideration and the FX1 again shines in that category.
