Rendering too long

   I edited a video clip down to 2 and 1/2 minutes in Pinnacle and it took over 40 minutes to render the clip as an MPEG 2 file. Can anything be done to shorten the process. I had all cumputer functions shut down except Pinnacle 8.
   
   Also the imported video (and output video) are very dark. Can that be fixed?

   I don't know the solution but my experience with S8 would indicate it has more to do with your system than with Studio. I found with Studio an appoximate rendering time to MPEG2 was about twice the length of the video.

   Compressing video to Mpeg2 takes a long time no matter what software your using. You would have to upgrade your computer processor to see signifigant performance increase.
