"Turn-key" DVD Authoring System

   Does anybody have any suggestions on a good "turn-key" DVD Authoring computer that I can buy?

   The brand of computer is not a really big factor. What matters most if you're doing video and audio editing and production is to get the fastest processor, prefferably with Hyper-Threading Technology. Load it with as much RAM as you can afford and 2 big and fast hard-drives. You will need the best Video card you can afford with capturing capabilities for Analog or Digital or both. A Firewire card is relatively cheap and ATI video cards are hard to beat. Then get a really good, big monitor. Some people recommend dual monitors but I use a 19" LCD flat panel and get by just fine. As for the audio portion, Sound Blaster cards are nice but Check out Sweetwater.com or Musiciansfriend.com and find a good EMU card with 2 or 4 ins and outs or something like that and you'll be much happier with the sound
