poor VCD QUALITY

   I just bought a sony DCRHC85 camcorder. The movie is great when you play it back on the camcorder. I tried making a video CD and it came out terrible with somewhat mosaic patern. Please what should i do???????

   Not make a VCD. VCD's are about VHS quality. They are heavily compressed inorder to fit on your standard CD-R. One wy to fix this, is to up the bit rate of the mpeg1 file for the VCD. DVD is the way to go as far as optical media is concerned, however they are more expensive to produce.
