plays sound but not video - Trial Sony Vegas Studio 7 + DVD

   Ok My camera is still in the shop so I shot some test video with my digital still camera. It saved it as an AVI file and when I open it to edit it all I can do is listen to the audio. There is no video any where on the time line. Am I doing something wrong or is the AVI file not going to work for this editor?

   I think you need to install the correct codec to play vids from a still camera. You can get a packet of codecs free on the internet. Sorry, I don't have a url to give you. Maybe someone else does. Roger
