Playing with DOF

    Hello all.  I was wondering if a video camcorder featuring a short focus length (10X) would drop out the background (somewhat), if the camcorder were used and focused up close on the subject....?

   It should, "somewhat" Ophelia, provided you do some manual adjustments with your settings.

    Thanks Earl.  I am looking into purchasing a "new-to-me" HD camcorder to experiment with, and this will help narrow down my choices...after price!  :)
