panasonic vdr-d160

    hi - i have just purchased a Panasonic VDR-d160 iam using DVD-r discs- problem is i cant view these on dvd or on my pc....what software would i need - i have downloaded winDVD but still cant view - why would this be - would i need to do something with the settings on the recorder ?  anyway any help would be great - i can view if i plug cords into TV  but cannot view using the discs?  anyway thx

   You may have to finalize the disk to read it anywhere except the camera. Check your manual to see how to do this.
