No Audio when downloading to Vista operating system

   I recently purchased a new Pc with vista & windows media 11. I have a GZ-MG31U with the software for XP. Can anyone help me to find the software for Vista. I can play the videos but lost all sounds through media 11. JVC has not responded to my delema. I,m not very pc or software orientated.
