Pardon my ignorance but I'm new to video. (Decades with audio, but new video)

I have a DVD that I need the content off of to use in iMovie. How do I do that?

    Thanks for the help.

A great tool to do just that is Mpeg Streamclip. It's free and they have a mac version.

You can open the .VOB files on the DVD and transcode them into quicktime files, tha you can then edit in iMovie.

     Hope this helps,
