  1.  I came across this one a while ago and they have recently updated their site. Thought I would share. It's a "click the thumbnail" type site. There is very little in the form of directions and parts lists but is full of interesting ideas and most designs are pretty simple using standard hardware you can get at Home improvement centers...

    I second antz97's suggestion for anyone interested in DIY special effects.  Watch some indymogul on Youtube.  I'm frequently amazed.
