I have Studio 7 and have had a few problems. I havent heard many things to great about Studio 8....but Studio 9 should have most of the bugs out. The main thing i was wondering was, what programs out there let you work with multiple video inputs within one project. For under 400$. Thanks.

Some other titles claim to provide this - but none do it better than Vegas. For $499.00 you can get Vegas - which is perfect for multiple camera synchronized editing. It's easy to learn, and provides you with unlimited DV editing power, including unrivaled real-time previewing of all your edits without needing expensive hardware acceleration. I routinely edit music videos with six different camera angles and a separate audio mix - all synchronized on the timeline. All my cuts/crossfades, titles, effects, etc. are available for real-time preview without having to render.

If you're eligible for a student scholastic discount, you can get it for under $200.00. Believe me, a $500 investment will get you the last editor you'll ever have to buy. You'll be rivaling (and in some functions, exceeding) the so-called "heavies" Premiere and FCP4, for 1/2 the price. And, you'll probably not have to beef up your computer to run it.

I agree with Lee, get Vegas.

You can easily edit multiple video and audio tracks (and using addons like Excalibur), you can automate the sync up of multiple camera feeds.

I've used Vegas to produce several commerically successful training DVDs - most using multiple tracks, and it was a breeze.
