move video to computer

    I am having difficulty moving my video to computer. I downloaded the program and hooked up the connections to computer and camera. but on the camera it says hook up and I did???? what could be the problem. I rehooked up over and over, usb ports.  Help

   you're not giving enough information.

   You said you downloaded a program...well, what program?

   What format of video did you record? If you recorded DV onto miniDV tape, USB doesn't work.

   What editing software are you using?
