Monitor to HDTV converter?

   I am looking to use a Dell 17" monitor as a small HDTV. I'm not trying to get HD service through a tuner, but make the monitor compatible with game and video devices that output High Definition.

   Is there any place to get a monitor to RGB converter, or possible a monitor-to-HDMI converter?
