mini dvd..what to look for?

    a definite amateur.  I recently purchased a Samsung Digital 1200X camcorder which requires the mini dvd's.  Seems like about every 3 or 4th blank dvd I get an onscreen message saying "Disc Error" anywhere from 5-20 minutes into the videoing.  As a result it won't let me finalize, which means I can't view it on anything except the LCD.  While I realize this question delves into the subjective arena "What do I look for in a blank DVD so that I can be assured the discs are OK before I buy them?"  Can you recommend?  I do not do editing etc.  Just shoot and enjoy watching the grandkids as we play back on our TV.
