Mini Dv Rewinder Recommendation

   Any suggestions about reliable mini DV rewinder, to save wear on camera?  The one manufactured by Sakar does not get strong reviews - some claim it has eaten tapes.

   As long as you don't rewind during playback (aka watching the image rewind) you don't have to worry about wearing out your camera.

   DO NOT EVER use a mini-dv rewinder.

   They do not have the tape's tension monitor and do not sense the end of the reel like a camera does.  The rewinder stops when it slams the tape to a halt at the end.  You could easily see the leader come off the hub and then you would have a useless tape in need of repair, or worse a broken tape.

   I should WISH that I have enough business that wearing out a camera would be a problem.
