Mic problem with Canon XM1/GL1

   I have audio coming in from a Behringer mixer into the audio in jack of my XM1/GL1, I find that the built in mic is still active and picking up sound which is annoying and ruining my recordings, due to the nature of the project I am working on.  I have not filmed in a while and I am almost certain that the built in mic used to shut off when there is external audio connected.

   Is there someone out there that can clarify this for me? Unfortunately, it does not say in the manual.  

   I am happy to buy a beactek box if this is a solution.  But I need to be sure that this will solve my problem before laying out the cash for this.

   Check you audio menu.
