mic for live music

    I'm just starting out. I purchaced a Canon gl2 and I was wondering what type of on camera mic I should use? I've been recording Live Reggae and the On Camera mic Bites.... :?

    Recording live music can be tricky. Since you have a GL2, I would get a Azden wireless setup with 2 handled mic transmitters. There is a two channel receiver version that will capture two separate channels at the same time. You can control each channel on your camera too. Place one of the mics on one side of the stage and the other on the other side and you could catch true stereo sound. If you have everything set up right, it will sound very professional.
