    Hello,

I'm getting ready to post an indie feature film. It was shot using the Panasonic AVC CAM technology (the 150 camera). I'm still in FCP 6 and editing with a Mac Book (2.26 Ghtz, 4 gigs of ram, 2 raided TB drives of 2 TB each through Esata). Not bad. I need to get a new system. I now the 8 core with 16 gigs of ram is great, but I'm thinking if I really just wanted to get another Mac Book with 3 Ghtz, and 8 gigs of ram and commit to external esata drives, wouldn't that be enough to cut this film? (bear in mind it's a lot of footage). I'm not big on AE, but there will be times I'll have 2 streams of HD footage and even an audio stream. Thoughts?
