I have a sharp VL-WD450U Mini DV, using Fuji Mini DV's. I saw a six pack of Maxell at Sam's Club for cheap. Took some footage and experienced video noise and audio dropout. Can I play the infected tape on a different unit and record it on a different tape to preserve at least the video?

I use maxell and sometimes experience the same...however it isnt the tape...i also buy from sams as they are the best deal at 23 bucs for six... try changing the cam to 16 bt audio and playing it back on the cam...i use a seperate jvc dv vcr dual deck and it works well at 16 bit...at 12 bit it skips intermittent audio...im sure its compatability between usits...this dv thing is quirky at times but still the best quality out there right now.
