Hi I got into video production and editing in school which used Imovie for editing, etc. Now that i have all the equipment at home i want to be able to edit here. I was wondering what program is most similar to Imovie (in terms of features and ease of use) but works on a PC (Windows XP). The program I have now, Pinnacle Studio 7, is just not getting the job done.

What is it about Pinnacle Studio 7 that you don't like?

If you're looking for a Win XP program similar to iMovie, I think Ulead Systems' VideoStudio 7 comes close. It's not very expensive either.

For free, Windows Movie Maker 2.0 looks like a decent program, but you don't have a whole lot of export options without buying third-party software. So if you're going to spend $100, I'd buy VideoSTudio 7, which does it all from capture to export.

    Good luck!
