Hi Guys,
I purchased recently a Canon Xa10, I purchased this game based off the reviews and the quality of the footage I'd seen on youtube.
This one video inspired me..

Anyways I'm an amateur videographer, I've been learning the basics of lighting, aperture, shutterspeed ect, it's strengths and it's weaknesses for every shot ect.
Every Shot I do I seem to get grain, It doesn't matter if my shots have great lighting or hardly any I always seem to get some kind of noise in my shot, and it's driving me crazy.
Usually my settings are on a 0 Db ( well lit shots dont need it right? ), a Medium Shutter Speed, and a Medium Aperture. I will physically look at the shot on the screen of my camera and make sure the lighting looks good on the screen. I'll shoot and I'll get a result like this..
A well lit, professional shot.. with noise...

It's driving me crazy, I'm not sure if it's a white balance issue or a lighting issue or even a camera issue, I suspect it's just me being a n00b since nobody elses's XA10 seems to be doing this..
I'm not doing any white balancing and I'm trying to learn to do the camera fully with manual settings so I can master it, yet I feel trapped with the noise that's always appearing, I was to understand noise is for an over or unexposed shot, which makes me wonder if I'm missing a vital step here? Should I be trying to white balance every shot as well? Or buy a grey card.. or something?
Help!
