how to set timer recording with dv camera

   I would like to know how can I set my DV camera to record 30 seconds once an hour (24hrs) for a week.
   Is there a kind of device that will do that? Some kind of timer?
   (I have a Sony's DSR-300 DVCAM but let me know if another camera has it built-in )
   
   Please guide me to resources on that,
