In the Oct. 2010 issue of Videomaker under "Shutter Speed Tips" Kyle Cassidy discusses some of the issues in deciding on what shutter speed to use. I illustrate some of this in this short video.
I shot this with a Canon HF11 at 30p frame rate setting. The subject is the centrifuge my friend Bill uses to extract honey. Note in the first video clip the image goes in and out of sync with the frame rate as it gains speed, much like a car wheel in a movie. Brings back memories of the helicopter video Derek posted a while back.
