Help with building DVD menu

I need some advice on software to build DVD menus. I create the concept I want with power point. But there are some other things I still want to do.

You have many options for DVD authoring software - I'm sure you'll get lots of opinions here.

Personally, I like Sony's DVD Architect (I use 5.0 & 5.2). I have found it easy to use yet very feature rich and powerful.

Just to build the menus, try Photoshop or After Effects, they work great and I use Encore to make the DVD's

Can video be used as background in encore and can the complete menu be used with moviefactory.
