head cleaner doesn't work

   I bought a head cleaning cassette because I need to use it. Whenever I try to use it in my Sony handycam, a prompt is coming up, saying something like, "cannot play, check the tab". The problem is that there is no tab at the bottom of the cassette to activate it. How can head cleaning cassettes be used? Thanks in advance.

    Try switching the camera to playback mode, and not record. If there is no tab it will not let the camera even try to record, but it will still let it play. Your tape should say to let it go for 10 seconds or something like that then stop it.
